How to connect
Kraken.
Kraken BTC, ETH and SOL USD spot feeds passed live checks in the installed 1.8.0-alpha.1 preview on September 6, 2026. Kraken’s futures API is separate and is not implemented in this desk.
Public data is available in the existing Alpharch tools. Account linking and broker execution are separate features.
Before you start
- Alpharch 1.8.0-alpha.1 or newer; the public installer includes Kraken spot in the live desk.
- Access to Kraken’s public market-data service from your location. No account login is needed for these charts.
Connect the existing tool
Open Connections in the live desk
Choose Kraken, then BTC, ETH or SOL. New Chart and Markets also offer the Kraken source.
Choose your chart
The adapter supplies actual trades, a price-level book and historical candles. Check that the chart is labeled Kraken and USD spot.
Check the received data
The live check confirmed 100 book levels per side and 720 completed one-minute historical candles for each tested market. Captured order-flow history begins at connection; candles do not supply historical aggressor classification.
Keep account access separate
The optional Kraken account adapter is read-only development code tested for protocol/error handling. It has not been accepted with a real account and is not a released broker connection.
If something is missing
Kraken is missing from New Chart
Run alpharch version. If it predates 1.8.0-alpha.1, run alpharch update, then open Alpharch Live Desk or trade-workspace.
Expecting Kraken futures or derivatives
This adapter covers USD spot. It does not connect Kraken Futures or transfer a derivatives subscription.
The book becomes unavailable
A failed book-integrity check or stale connection must recover before the chart is treated as current. Do not substitute another venue’s book.
